Meet Persimmon Metals
Linda and Nathan Jones met over 20 years ago in the Metals Studio as undergrads at Humboldt State University. Nathan has since earned a MFA in Metals and even taught Jewelry and Metals for 14 years while Linda worked in the studio and raised their children.
Their studio is designed with equipment to complement their various skills and talents and allows them to work both collaboratively and separately on their fine metal artwork which can range anywhere from contemporary silver jewelry to teapots, ladles, and other functional objects.
Because of the commonness of the name Jones, they decided to work under Persimmon Metals with persimmons being a metaphor for patience, echoing the time and care required for the exacting detail of their work. Their work has been included in shows, exhibitions and competitions across the United States. As full time artists they sell their work at select, juried, art fairs and through gallery representation.
