A review of the “timeless, clean, and uncluttered” watch

MeisterSinger watches are well known for their simplicity and user-friendliness, free of excessive consumerist features. The German brand’s latest addition, the Neo Plus Pointer Date, is no exception.

It features one dominant hand like other MeisterSinger watches, displaying time to the nearest five-minute, 15-minute, or one-hour interval. The Neo Plus Pointer Date also has a circular date display in the center of the dial.

The wearer has two dial options Sunburst Steel blue or Opaline silver. They can also choose from a Milanese bracelet (fine mesh), suede strap, or black shell cordovan strap.

Angus Davies of Escapement Magazine had the pleasure of wearing the MeisterSinger Neo Plus Pointer Date for a week. Overall, he found the watch to be stylish, user-friendly, comfortable, and simple (in the best way).

Gun-Free Space

Effective April 24, 2021, Rose-Marie and Bob made Robert Goodman Jewelers a gun-free space. Our decision is based on our dissatisfaction with the current state of gun laws. It is also based on our support for stricter gun laws, including universal background checks, a national gun registry, and closing gun show loopholes. We support many of the reforms encompassed in the agendas of Moms Demand Action and Everytown.

Activism

Robert Goodman Jewelers does not shy away from controversial issues that affect our community or the world at large. We’re committed to social justice and political change to make the world a place that is just, safe, and appreciative of diversity—which makes the tapestry of this country unique and rich.

We understand that a jewelry retailer can be a voice for change and a force for action, by getting involved with the jewelry industry and community in constructive and inclusive ways. We do that by engaging with our trade through industry initiatives and locally by welcoming the LGBTQIA+ community, advocating for gun control, protecting women’s reproductive rights, fighting against discrimination and antisemitism, and promoting equity, justice, and love.

Ways jewelers, designers, and vendors can support activism:

Getting involved in jewelry industry efforts advocating for transparency and traceability

Giving, supporting, or raising awareness for local and/or international charities

Supporting and participating in on-the-ground initiatives (i.e. volunteer, civil engagement)
